All cakes should be stored in a cool environment not above 5°C.

Mousse cakes ie. Chocolate Concord, require more attention to temperature control compared to baked products ie French Apple Tart, which has a higher tolerance level.

Customers with cake cabinets should be aware that each shelf within their cabinets will be at various temperatures. Most cake cabinets are cooler at the bottom, this is where you should store delicate products such as mousse cakes. The top of most cabiinets is where you will find lights, this area should be temperature tested to ensure product will not deteriorate.

Our Ramekin range has been a great success and it's range has increased from six to nine. Each Ramekin comes surrounded by a protective plastic or silicone strip. To get a clean finish when removing the strip, place the Ramekin in the freezer for 10-15 minutes then remove the strip.

When cutting a cake with a sharp warm knife, a well chilled cake will always give the best result.

When removing a cake from its box, fully opening the front of hte box will reduce any damage.

Gluten free products should be stored and displayed separately to products that contain gluten. Dedicated serving and cutting utensils should be marked clearly, so they are only used for gluten-free products.

Our pre cut cakes come with a protective silicone paper divider which helps the cake from drying out. They also give consistent portions and save on your labour.

The new range of birthday cakes 10" and slabs are a convenient product to keep in your freezer for that special occasion.

Defrosting cakes are best done by removing the plastic tamperproof film which is found on the majority of the cake boxes. If the product itself is wrapped with a tamperproof film, remove before defrosting.
